So last night I started feeling really crappy so I didn’t do much other than cleaning the flat after work as I felt bad so this mornings weigh-in was bad too at 107.2 kgs π
I really need to get my eating in check because although I am physically feeling loads better (other than the illness that is!) and definitely getting fitter my weight has not dropped significantly over the past couple weeks! In fact after 30 days I am only 1.2 kgs lighter than I was at the start of the challenge when at my lightest over the 30 days I was 105.8 kgs which meant that I lost 2.6 kgs at that time!
Since I was doing the move my McDonlads breakfasts and fried breakfasts and takeaways have crept back into my daily diet culminating in yesterday having a fryup sandwhich with extra bacon and egg + Fried Bread! then a Burger king for tea and then some biscuits and some squirty cream for pudding! No wonder I’m so heavy at the moment!
Going forwards I am going back to just eating what I have in the house + meat and eggs which basically equates to steak and eggs for breakfast and pasta and tinned chicken soup for tea and that’s it! The pasta and tinned soup should last a couple of weeks than I can go on to a full carnivore diet of meat and eggs only!
I am also going to raise my step count per day to 15000 steps during the week and keep to 12000 at the weekends as that will force me to walk after work as well as before work to get the 150000 steps in every day so I can start working on my evening routine as I have not done that at all!
I have just had a beef joint, a bunch of steak and some bacon delivered so I can start the week with bacon and eggs for breakfast and then move to steak and eggs towards the weekend then Friday afternoon I will go to the shops with my son and get some food for the weekend then re-order for me next week from there!
I hope that sorting my diet and walking more should get my weight back down pretty quickly as it did last time!
Last night I bought a pair of 29 x 1.4 slick tyres to make my MTB more like a gravel bike and once they come and have been installed I will start riding to the office on it and also to the track at lunch times too and then my weight should really start to drop! I am going to hold off until March to start sprints and track stuff as every time I ride the BMX I hurt my knee still so I will give it a month to let the backwards walking do its thing and drop a bunch of weight before adding BMX to the mix other than weekends.
I also bought a new wheel holder for my bike carrier as the one on the drivers side fell off on Friday lunch time!
I am giving up for today and going back to bed for a bit then when I wake up I will shower and walk up to the BMX track to drop off some forks that I have sold and hopefully get my steps in so I can lounge in bed for the rest of the day!
I have just managed to get to 11000 steps for the day on the treadmill but it was a struggle to do and I had to stop at 11000 steps as the treadmill started to overheat which is not ideal.
I am going to do my 10 minutes of backwards walking now to see if I can get over 12000 steps that way!
So I managed to get through the 10 minutes of Backwards Treadmill but it was a real struggle and I was sweating my tits off once I was done which normally I am not but its done and I can now have a shower and then I can pop into the office and do some bits before heading home to bed!
I have just received the new inner tubes for the new tyres and I have now received a delivery message from DHL that the tyres will be delivered tomorrow so they will most likely be here Thursday or Friday!
I have decided to rest a bit this week so no Rucking or riding to the track this week to make sure that I am fully better before I start ramping up the training.
This week I will focus on walking first thing and getting the 10 minutes of backwards treadmill every day until I feel better.
I think I will still keep riding the ebike to the office for now and then I will come home at lunch time and get changed then ride to the track and back on the mtb/ gravel bike to see how it goes. I am expecting to be blowing out of my arse to start with but I am hoping that by March I should be used to it and it should be a fair bit easier then I can start using it as a warm up and then ride the BMX for an hour or so before riding home again!
